George William Lay                           1845-
George was born about 1845, the son of James and Sarah Lay, at London. He married Jessie Neunburg Vade.
Their only child died shortly after it was born. They lived at 3 Michels Place, Richmond, Surrey. By 1881 he was still there, but she had left him and was back with her parents in London. By 1895 George Lay had moved to 7 Aymand Park Road, Twickenham, and would live there for years. Jessie moved to Scarborough with her parents in the mid-1880s and remained there.
Jessie Neunburg Vade                       1856-
Jessie was born about 1856, the daughter of John Vade and Marian Seppings, at Fintray, Aberdeen, Scotland.
